An agreement was signed between General pharmaceuticals Ltd. (GPL). Bangladesh and Thorn Pharmaceuticals (pvt) Ltd. Sri Lanka at GPL Head Office Conference Room on March 7, 2007.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Momenul Haq, Managing Director and Mir Zaki Azam Chowdhury, Director Marketing, General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Ajith G. Perera, Managing Director and Rohan L. Perera Director Marketing of Thorn Pharmaceuticals (Pvt)Ltd. Sri Lanka. Dr. Ziad Rahaman, Manager International Marketing of GPL was also present on the occasion.

Twenty-seven products of GPL are already registered in Sri Lanka through Thorn Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd. GPL's operation in Sri Lanka will commence very shortly.

Besides Sri Lanka , GPL is also exporting its pharmaceutical finished formulations of Hong Kong, Myanmar, Macau, Somalia and Bhutan. GPL products are also under registration in Mauritius , Cambodia and Philippines.
