Presentation

Anreb 25 mg : Each film coated tablet contains Losartan potassium INN 25 mg.
Anreb 50 mg : Each film coated tablet contains Losartan potassium INN 50 mg.

Indications

Anreb is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agent.

Dosage and administration

Usually 50 mg once daily (elderly over 75 years, moderate to severe renal impairment, intravascular volume depletion. initially 25 mg once daily); If necessary increased after several weeks to 100 mg once daily.

Side effects

Diarrhoea, dizziness, taste disturbance, cough, myalgia, migraine, urticaria, pruritus, rash, rarely hepatitis, anaemia.

Precaution

Precaution should be taken when it is administered to the patients with hepatic and renal impairment.

Contraindications

Anreb is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to the active ingredient or any component of the drug. Breast - feeding .

Drug interactions

No significant drug interactions have been identified by clinical trials with hydrochlorothiazide, digoxin, warfarin, cimetidine, ketoconazole and Phenobarbital.
