We have successfully accomplished our two years journey for MediNews. On the eve of the 2nd anniversary, we would like to offer our deepest gratitude to you, who have encouraged us by giving valuable suggestions.

 

We received 2680 reply cards from doctors all around the country as a reply for the last Medinews on COPD BREATHLESS NOT HELPLESS. This is really a good encouragement to the journey of our Medinews.

On the current issue, we arranged a time demanding & your requested topic, Management of Diabetes as the lead article. Professor Hajera Mahtab, Professor of Medicine, Specialist in Diabetes & Endocrine Diseases & Clinical Director, BIRDEM, Dhaka , Bangladesh , has given her most resourceful write up for the lead article. We would like to dedicate this issue for the Diabetes patients in the World. As you all know Diabetes is one of the most threatening diseases in the developing countries & the 7th leading cause of death among in the world. In our country there are a number of people suffering from this disease. If we could just take some simple & easy method of life style like; regular exercise, food habit, quit smoking & make a healthy diet chart, we can easily protect ourselves from this disease. We hope that, like the previous issues you all will be also getting some refreshing information regarding this disease. In the pictorial diagnosis we highlighted complications & some clinical conditions of Diabetes.

 

We would like to pay our heartiest felicitation from GPL family to Professor Muhammad Yunus for winning Noble Peace Prize.

 

Another great event is knocking at the door Agi (International Mother Language Day). We would like to pay our heartiest gratitude to our Great Language Martyrs', who fought & shed their blood in 1952, for establishment of our mother language in the country.
