19th ANNUAL SALES CONFERENCE 2005

GPL arranged its 19th annual sales conference 2005 on December 30, 2005 at Seagull Hotel in Coxs’ Bazar. All the GPL marketing & sales personnel participated on that colorful occasion. Dr. Momenul Haq, Managing Director, Director Dr. Sarah Momen, Director Marketing Mir Zaki Azam Chowdhury were present on that occasion. Major General (Retd.) Dr. M. Shamsul Haq & Professor Dr. A.I.M. Mafakhkharul Islam attended as special guests. A brief discussion among the participants was held. Managing Director emphasized on professional development. Director Marketing congratulated for the achievement of 2005. Grand gala dinners & cultural program were also arranged.

MSD ACTIVITIES

Medical Services Department (MSD) of General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (GPL) sponsored two Scientific Seminars & two CME program from the month of January’06 to March’06. A Scientific Seminar was jointly organized by Rotary Club of Brahmanbaria Titas & Rotary Club of Agrabad, Chittagong in collaboration with BMA, Brahmanbaria & GPL on ‘Pediatric Surgical Problem’ on February 25, 2006 at Shahid Milon Hall, Sadar Hospital, Brahmanbaria. Another Scientific Seminar was sponsored by GPL & organized by BMA, Rajbari on “Anxiety disorder and its management & Stroke & its management” on February 25, 2006 at Conference Room, Civil Surgeon Office, Rajbari. GPL organized a CME program along with Department of Surgery, BIRDEM on “Management of Rectal Cancer-Update” on February 19, 2006 at BIRDEM auditorium & another CME program along with BPMPA, Narshindi on “Glomerulonephritis” on March 20, 2006 at Utsob Restaurent, Narshindi. The participating doctors appreciated GPL’s Medical Services Department for organizing the Scientific Seminars & CME program and encouraged to organize more these kind of seminars that help them to exchange & update

their knowledge. Medical Services Department (MSD) of GPL also took part in Medical Conferences. Those are Gastroenterology, OGSB, BOSCON, Neurosurgery, BSSP & SARPS respectively on February 25, 2006, March 8, March 10-11, 24 March & 30 March, 2006. MSD also participated in three Clinical Meetings. Those were held on Rangpur Medical College, Khulna Medical College & Sylhet Osmany Medical College.

EXPORT

GPL personnel participated Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Product Show at Yangon, Myanmar on March 10-12, 2006. All the participating doctors appreciated the stall and showed keen interest on displayed GPL products. At present GPL's 8 products are registered in Myanmar. From May 06 onwards GPL's 8 products will be available in Myanmar. In January & March, 2006 GPL exported to Macau. GPL also received export orders from Myanmar & Somalia.

NEW PRODUCT

GPL launched its long-cherished- first injectable preparations Imacef in the month of February 2006, in four different dosage forms 250 mg IM, 500 mg IM, 1 gm IM & 1gm IV. Very recently GPL launched two other dosage formulations of (Imacef) 250 mg IV & 500 mg IV to meet the demand. In February 11, 2006, Imacef was formally introduced to the doctors’ community all over the country. GPL arranged a week long colorful ceremonies all over the country.
