We are pleased to inform you that we received the ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) 1815-3860 from Paris, France for Medinews.
We received some very good critics and suggestions for Medinews from you and some of these we would implement gradually. What we feel is that we are forgetting our aesthetic passion due to busy life. To encourage this, we would like to utilize Medinews as a media for you to explore your aesthetic passion. So, please send your own drawn paintings, sketch, photographs and your own written poems & jokes etc. The best one will be published at Medinews.
May 10, 2005 was the World Lupus Day. In this connection, we are dedicating the present issue of Medinews on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Once again it is our privilege to inform you that eminent Professor Dr. Syed Atiqul Haq has enriched Medinews by his article on SLE. We believe that it will help you to get a complete and update information on it.
We have selected 5 lucky winners through a raffle draw from those who participated in mediquiz (Vol. 1, No. 1, February 2005) correctly. Congratulations for the lucky winners! The list of the winners is given in the mediquiz section and gifts (Air Ticket for Dhaka-Cox's Bazar-Dhaka) were handed over already. The raffle draw was arranged, to encourage those who read the Medinews and answered the mediquiz correctly, in front of the Board of Management and more than 150 GPL personnel at GPL monthly meeting.
While we are working on Medinews, H.S.C examination is going on. We would like to wish all the best for H.S.C. examinees from the Medinews Editorial Board.
