Kenya is the gateway of Africa and Africa has tremendous potential for export of pharmaceutical finished products. In this regard General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (GPL) entered in to the Kenya pharma market by exporting pharmaceutical finished formulations to Kenya first time. On March 22, 2007 GPL exported 4 products which are also registered there. GPL also submitted good number of products for registration in Kenya .

Besides Kenya , GPL is also exporting its pharmaceutical finished formulations to Hong Kong , Myanmar , Macau , Somalia and Bhutan . GPL products are also registrated in Sri Lanka, Viet Nam and Maldives . Very soon GPL will be expecting orders from those countries also. GPL products are under registration in Mauritius , Cambodia and Philippines .
