General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (GPL) has celebrated it's 21 st Annual Sales Conference 2007 on January 10, 2008 at Bangladesh China Friendship Centre. Al-hajj Major General (Retd.) Dr. M. Shamsul Haq was the Chief Guest and Dr. Momenul Haq, Managing Director of GPL has presided over the conference. In the conference Dr. Sara Momen, Director; Mir Zaki Azam Chowdhury, Director Marketing; all Senior Officials and all Field Forces from the country were present. The total number of participants in the conference was around 1000. The representative of foreign business partners of GPL Mr. Ajith G. Perera, Managing Director; Mr. Rohan L. Perera, Director Marketing; and Mr. Ashan Pererafrom Sri Lanka of Thorn Pharmaceuticals Ltd. were also attended the conference. Dr. Momenul Haq, Managing Director advised the participants to face the challenge of 2008. He also announced that a project worth of 150 crore Taka already initiated for state-of-the art factory which will be accredited by UKMHRA and other international regulatory bodies. He added that this will boost company image which will increase sales nationally, 12 exporting countries and most importantly people will get international quality medicines at competitive price. Director Marketing, Mir Zaki Azam Chowdhury gave the operational guide lines for Sales & Marketing for 2008 among the foreign delegates from Thorn Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Sri Lanka . Mr. Rohan L. Perera, Director Marketing appreciated GPL's effort in Sri Lanka. . At the end of the conference, prize giving ceremony, annual grand gala dinner and cultural program were arranged.
